Halloween on Hanover Ave is a Richmond, VA tradition. Several blocks of homes try to out do each other with elaborate decorations. Most change it up each each year, while others are familiar staples, like the Pirate Ship house. I’ve seen everything from the Bat Cave with life size Batmobile that kids can sit in and take photos to Thing 1 and Thing 2 handing out candy in front of a bubble factory.
The following are just a few photos I’ve taken over the years and in no way do they represent the full Halloween on Hanover experience. Think hundreds of kids screaming in joy and terror, lots of costumed adults hanging out in various states of public drunkenness and a nightmare traffic situation in the heart of The Fan. It’s big fun and I highly recommend checking it out at least once.
